Pure Modal Silk Sarees

The Fabric (Modal Silk): Unlike traditional silk, Modal is a cellulose fiber (often from beech trees). It has a liquid-like drape, a subtle “expensive” sheen, and is surprisingly breathable. It doesn’t crease as easily as cotton, making it great for long events.

The Technique (Ajrakh): This is a 16-step process involving hand-carved wooden blocks. The “natural dye” aspect is crucial; you’re looking at colors derived from indigo, madder root (red), pomegranate peel (yellow), and iron filings (black).

The Aesthetic: Authentic Ajrakh is known for its complex geometric patterns inspired by architecture and the starry night sky.
